Essential Housing for Essential Workers

Writer's picture: St. Paul Community BCSt. Paul Community BC

Those who work in NYC, who grew up in NYC, can no longer afford to live in NYC.

Metro IAF members and residents are calling on Governor Hochul to develop state-owned sites as 100% affordable homeownership and rental, starting with the Creedmoor Psychiatric Facility. Since Governor Hochul has not stepped up

and committed, we will show up at her office. Please join Metro IAF NY organizations, East Brooklyn Congregations (EBC), Manhattan Together/South Bronx Churches, and Queens Power, for a press conference to launch the next phase of our campaign to address NYC’s affordable housing crisis.

Please contact your organizer or email Pia Horton, EBC Administrator, if you have any questions.

Wednesday. Aug 23rd @ 11 AM

Governor Hochul’s Manhattan Office

633 3rd Avenue, New York, NY 10017

(Corner of 41st and 3rd avenue. Please plan to take public

transportation and arrive by 10:30 AM.)
