Rev. Dr. Carla Gittens

Rev. Dr. Carla Gittens serves as the Director of Congregation Care at SPCBC. She is responsible for nurturing the spiritual, emotional, and physical well-being of both the congregation and the broader community. In this role, Carla strengthens existing programs while also exploring and implementing new initiatives.

She earned her Master of Arts in Pastoral Care and Counseling from New York Theological Seminary in 2017. In May 2026, she will attain the Doctor of Ministry degree from Drew Theological Seminary. Her research thesis, Courageous Leadership in a Changing Culture, reflects a bold topic that speaks to her heart and ministry.
