About the MAAFA Suite...A Healing Journey®
The MAAFA Suite is more than a performance; it is a sacred psychodrama and a transformative theater piece that brings to life the pain, perseverance, and ultimate triumph of our ancestors. The term MAAFA, derived from Kiswahili, means "great disaster" and refers to the transatlantic slave trade and its enduring effects on people of African descent.
