Wiletta Denise Young

Wiletta Denise Young, a proud native of Brooklyn born in 1958, has always considered her roots and upbringing in one of New York City’s most vibrant boroughs to be a key part of her identity.
With a strong belief that family and faith in God are the cornerstones of a fulfilling life, Wiletta has dedicated herself to being a guiding light for her loved ones. She is the proud mother of two, a devoted mother-in-love, and a doting nana to one. Her life revolves around creating a nurturing and supportive environment where her family can thrive, and she is a continuous source of spiritual covering and wisdom for them, as well as for anyone she encounters.
Wiletta’s ability to connect deeply with others and offer guidance is something she cherishes and is always eager to share. While successful in her corporate career, she felt a deep calling to do more with her talents, especially when it comes to making a direct, positive impact in the lives of others. Wiletta recognized that her true purpose lay in inspiring and empowering the younger generation, particularly during their most formative and impressionable years. This realization led her to embark on a new path, one that was aligned with her God-given talents and passions.

While pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Development, Wiletta has embraced her calling wholeheartedly. She became committed to nurturing and shaping young minds during their early developmental stages, a time when they are most receptive to learning and growth. Currently, Wiletta serves as the lead teacher for 3-year-olds at a local early learning academy, a position that allows her to directly influence and support the children in her care, as well as their families. Her classroom is a place of love, learning, and encouragement, where every child is given the tools to thrive and build a strong foundation for the future. Wiletta's ability to combine her nurturing spirit with her professional expertise allows her to create a positive and lasting impact on both the children and their families, strengthening her community in the process.

Wiletta Denise has faithfully and humbly dedicated over 25 years of service to SPCBC, contributing to various ministries with a heart for helping others and advancing the mission of the church. Throughout her tenure, she has been an integral part of the congregation, offering her time, skills, and leadership across a range of roles. In addition to her broad involvement in multiple church ministries, Wiletta has also played a pivotal role as a servant leader within the Women’s Ministry Council of Wise Jewels, where she has served in several key capacities. Her commitment to serving others, both within the church and the community, reflects her deep faith and passion for uplifting and empowering those around her.

Through her work, Wiletta continues to fulfill her divine purpose, touching lives and helping to shape a brighter future for the next generation. She is a testament to the power of faith, family and following one's true calling.
