David Lacey

David M. Lacey was born July 22nd, 1960, in the Bronx New York to Pearl C. Lacey and David L. Lacey.
David attended John F. Kennedy High School in the Bronx. At JFK, David was an above average student in academics. However, he was a very talented artist. One of his Art teachers saw his talent and recommended that David apply to Art Colleges upon graduation. So, David took his Art teachers’ advice and applied to the top art/design colleges in New York. School of Visual Arts (SVA), Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Parsons School of Design. Parsons School of Design accepted David.
Upon completing Parsons, David began his career in advertising. David has been working in the advertising field since 1982 for some of the largest advertising agencies in New York City. David currently is a Senior Print and Direct Mail Production Manager at AREA 23 Healthcare Agency in NYC.
David is happily married to his Queen (over 21 years) LaTanga T. Lacey. They own a home in Monroe NJ. They are proud parents of 4 beautiful Daughters (and 1 Son who transitioned). They have 11 Grandchildren (and 1 Grandson who transitioned). They have 3 Great Grandchildren. “Our Children, Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren are one of our many Blessings”.

David (along with LaTanga) have been members of St. Paul Community Baptist Church since 2007. In 2014 David was invited to apply for and begin training to become an Edler at SPCBC. After 2 years of training, and with the Grace of God David was Blessed to be consecrated as an Elder in January 2016.
One of David’s favorite Bible verses is “And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength to do his work. He considered me trustworthy and appointed me to serve him. 1 Timothy: 1:12
