As is tradition in the baptist church culture, the Pastor of St. Paul Community Baptist Church was supported in the work of the Kingdom by a Board of Deacons – the earliest reference being under the pastorate of Rev. Adolphus Smith from 1938-1965.

As is tradition in the baptist church culture, the Pastor of St. Paul Community Baptist Church was supported in the work of the Kingdom by a Board of Deacons – the earliest reference being under the pastorate of Rev. Adolphus Smith from 1938-1965. The tradition continued through to April 1987 when the ministry officially adopted a new form of leadership called ‘Elder Rule.’ It is a plurality form of leadership between the pastor and the men who serve the ministry of St. Paul Community Baptist Church.
