Mother Myrtis Brent Shero Scholarship Application

The purpose of the Mother Myrtis Brent Shero Scholarship, is to support the educational aspirations of Pearls and Jewels (Girls and Women) who are members of the St. Paul Community Baptist Church. The scholarship was created by the Council of Wise Jewels as a way to celebrate and honor Mother Myrtis Brent. In order to qualify for the scholarships that will be presented, you must fulfill the following requirements: 1. Be a member of St. Paul Community Baptist Church 2. Permanent Residency in New York (out of state students with permanent NY residency can apply) 3. Have a grade point average (GPA) of 75% or higher 4. Will be attending an accredited two (2) or four (4) year college or university, in Fall 2023 as a Freshman or Sophomore. 5. Must write a minimum of 500 word essay answering the topic provided 6. Have at least 35 hours of community or volunteer service within the last two years
