As we get closer to the cross and reflect on the journey we have taken to deepen our relationship with God through these weeks of intentional connection through study, prayer and fasting, this text gives us an overview of the magnitude of what it means to be “in Christ.” We have entered into a covenant with God through Christ that is not written on tablets but written into our hearts. Let us pray that at the end of this intentional time of devotion we find ourselves seeing and living out God’s specific call on each of us to become productive members of the beloved community known as the kingdom or kin-dom of God.
