The Bible clearly points out that the people of God have both a priestly and prophetic function.  Since the beginning of time God has addressed the affairs of humankind.  Justice for all has always been God’s will for humankind.  Therefore, it is the church’s definition to serve as watchmen by day and by night, to point out that here and there, God is at work and God is not pleased.

“Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”
~ Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Theologian & Civil Rights Activist

“It is not only my task to look after the victims of mad men who drive a motor car in a crowded street but to do all in my power to stop their driving at all”.
~ Dietrich Bonhoeffer, German theologian
